I only recalled from the previous incarnation that valpurium was the most damaging for whips, it wasn't not until I tested ASTR requirements this time 'round that I realised how useful it was. GEF whips added, and, since the ridiculous valpurium whips are up there, I've put the adamantine staves in too

My favourite weapons combo is Justifier + GEF whip of theivery Although i usually don't get it past +10 or +11 because the mirror cloning charges are better used on boots of agility if you play natural limbs.

Past 10 the fail rate skyrockets. I used about 100 scrolls just enchanting each weapon to 16.

Anybody know exactly how much more damage whips do when wet? they are usually soaked in various kinds of blood so they should be wet most of the time. a 10% bonus would be significant but I have no idea what it actually is.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that to-hit and strength really only scale up to 20, so a +16 dagger wouldn't be any more accurate than a +16 battle axe, unless the axe had a base hit rating of <4.

Oh, it's entirely possible to find those in a single game. It's not necessary to have seven charging scrolls, any combination of wands and the scrolls will do. There's plenty of time to find them up to GC13.
