Here's how I recall it being:

Topics: Swords. White (steel?) for read, golden (valpurium?) for unread. Flaming if "hot".

Sticky: Mommo slimes. I think triangular ones were used for unread sticky messages.

Announcements: I dunno, but somehow the Enner Beast seems appropriate.

Locked: Don't recall. I suggest a shield.

Forums: Chests. I believe it was similar as for topics; steel for read, valpurium for unread.

Cool. I've made most of them. It'd be awesome if somebody could make the flaming swords animated. I don't really see how, short of somehow taking a screenshot of every frame

I went with the horns for announcements, and adamant seems to be the whitest material

I think chests were used for locked topics. And bananas for announcements.

the bad thing about the holy banana is unless it's animated it will just look like a yellow and orange blob... kind of how the flaming swords look right now. but if somebody can make an animated version of it i'll put it up

And I thought I was a real IVAN fan...I even still have that plastic frog on my door.

It is, but you can at least tell that they're supposed to be flames when they're animated. Not so easy to tell if it's just one frame sitting there

The flames are just alternating shiny orange and yellow flames, right? Or do they move?

I dunno, the flaming sword doesn't look too bad. And seriously, what IVAN player isn't more interested in a holy banana than a horn, hmm? :wink:

I just use the basic phpbb format for the forum anyways. I've never been a fan of dark color templates.

U_E, there's also ivanSilver which has the IVAN icons but light background. I also don't like dark backgrounds, which is why I created it. It's even harder to see the flames and things in silver though.

Anyone notice that when you are not logged-in, everything is backwards-colored? I looked at my avatar while not logged-in, and it looks weird, you an only see the outline, because the background for people not logged-in is black.

The bottles are a little dark since I laid them on a wood floor, I'll fix that eventually. Pineapples turned out the best, I think.

To those that think a holy banana looks like a blob of orange: suck it up and get an LCD monitor. Much more definition.
