I tried to set this up similar to the old Jconserv forums.

I remember Somagu and blob were moderators on the old one, so I will make you guys mods again. Was there anybody else?

I plan to make this more than just a forum... we can also have a Wiki, download links (for LIVAN, IVANT, etc. so that you guys don't have to use rapidshare or something), and more. Any other ideas?

Looks nice. Is this hosted on your own server? Of course Wiki is needed. Can it host multiplayer IVAN when somebody writes one?

About mods, Atomic was the boss on jconserv.

AFAIK this is the fourth forum in IVAN history, not counting the Sourceforge forums. On the first IVAN forum we had a dark theme as default, and at jconserv we had it as an option. We also had a logo at jconserv (not sure about the original two), and at the first forum we had customized IVAN-themed icons, I think Atomic has them but had problems with convincing jconserv admins to use them, but I am not sure.

The name "IVAN Mods"... I think Arcane is right, if you modify the executable, it is usually called a 'variant' or a 'patch'.

Download links? You mean you can host our variants/mods here? The site were my 3d patch is currently on sucks (it did not when I created the first version), so I would use that.

Thanks, it's on my server (one that I bought, I don't actually have a physical server in my room). I'll set up the Wiki. And yes I guess it can host multiplayer, if somebody tells me how to set that up too

I'll try to find a nice dark theme ... I remember the banana / pickaxe logo, but I didn't save it so if whoever made it can send it to me, I can put that up. Atomic should send me the icons too, I'll probably put them up unless they look horrible, which I doubt

Yeah, you could definitely host your Ivan 3D here. I'll work on setting it up so you can upload files asap. I might just make that part of the Wiki

Great The theme I mentioned was the same as is on the Greatboard forums (subBlack). And the icons were just bananas, slimes, boxes, and swords from IVAN, resolution is low but I think they are appropriate.

Somehow people did manage to find jconserv although there were not many links to here. Everybody who knows IVAN knows its homepage, and Greatboard forums are linked from here, and from there we could get to jconserv before, and now to here. There is also a direction on my 3D patch site (which I plan to demolish since it needs to be moved here; capristo, will it be possible to host a page with screenshots here?) and on RogueBasin. Also on the Wiki which does not work, I plan to visit that site from time to time, maybe it gets online for a moment and I'll be able to steal its soul. Are there any else? Okay, googling finds some other strange sites. I put a link on the IRC channel.
