Alveradok

Hey guys, I mentioned it on the old forums, but now some numbers.

A standard, off-Silva's-shelf wolf I summoned has 20 HP. So in WM mode I wish for a large chest, a stethoscope and a SoCM and change the chest's material to ommel bone.

After eating as little as 4125g of the chest (and it's got plenty o' itself left!) I examine the wolf (the brackets indicate his stats before the power-up):

STR : 43 (10)
AGI : 107 (26)
END : 43 (10)
PER : 104 (24)
INT : 30 (7)
WIS : 21 (5)
CHA : 43 (10)
HP : 369 (20)

Keep in mind, that this particular one wasn't too hungry, if he was then he'd grow more, actually.

The best thing is that (provided You have the proper gear, and Silva likes You enough) they can be made in a couple of turns.

Permanent infravision guarantees they can spot any froggies and other invisible badness.

Maybe it could be useful against Petrus? Keep in mind that now their limb-targeted attacks can be REALLY deadly and perhaps can make someone armless ...

I tried this with Kenny before but the wolves sound way more powerful, I am going to try this out.

Well I first tried it with Kenny, too, after seeing him eat an ommel bone mail, but someone (can't remember who, kudos go to him) suggested wolves.

why not super-powerful hedgehogs?Or maybe for some kicks in WM,super powerful Elpuris?

Wolves sound pretty awesome too though.

Only Canines will eat bone, and only bone-eating animals will eat items made of ommel bone, thus gaining massive boosts to all stats.

HEY! I wonder. Give me a couple minutes, I need to try something really quick --

Well, what I was planning didn't QUITE work out, HOWEVER, I found a way for you to do your experiment more easily. Polymorph yourself into a wolf. Or even better -- a blink dog! Unfortunately, the stat gains don't carry over.

Bored One

If your pet has very high stats, does the game spawn high level monsters to retaliate?

Well I'm afraid yes (based on the fact that a polymorphed Kenny does), but If You prepare the wolves in a couple of turns, there won't be much time for spawning.

Also, if they're needed in let's say... ATTNAM - there's no spawning after all (khe khe khe ).
