timezone issues
please tell me which timezone you live in (in relation to GMT), and how far off the clock appears

So, I live in GMT -5 and the clock is 0 hours off

This will help me solve the timezone issues. I have a feeling the # of hours off is your timezone -5 or +5 or something like that, since the server is in GMT -5.

hmm
Okay I think I've figured it out. The time difference is of course your timezone minus the server timezone.
Erno: +2 minus -5 = 7.
Cap: -5 minus -5 = 0.

Let's get a couple more replies to make sure this is right before I change anything.

well its 1:30 pm and it GMT -7 or mountain standard time here. I have no idea about Daylight savings whether that factors in or not.

So.. I think that works too.
-7 minus -5 = -2, and your post is 2 hours off

I believe I'm GMT -8, along with Somagu, Jimmy, and Fluffy.

-8 minus -5 = -3. So Atomic, it is 1:37 where you live now?

I think I've fixed the issue, but I only modified the shoutbox just to test it before I change every other file. I just posted a message at GMT 2 AM, tell me if it shows up at the right time. (or obviously you can just reply and see if your message is at the correct time)

UPDATE:
Okay, you can change your timezone in your settings (in the "Control Panel" tab). Testing this reveals that the issue is indeed fixed in the shoutbox. Now I just have to fix it everywhere else.

UPDATE #2:
Everything should be fixed now.
