I think the biggest problem is the Arch mages zapping the fuck out of you with magical explosions and massive bursts of electricity. Not to mention disenchanting your gear.

I just kicked Sherry's ass. After some failed attempts to trap her, I finally decided to harden my trap into octiron and clone it. Then I set all 3 on the same spot (as well as a meteoric steel & mithril) and she got trapped. As she was trapped in all 3 octiron (she broke out of the other two pretty quickly), I walked up, and knocked off her limbs one by one. Her life saving gave her one last shot but at that point she wasn't able to teleport away and with another hit I slew her. Who's the queen of IVAN now, bitch?

Screenshots of my victory and equipment & inventory

Now I'm going to focus on boosting my stats. Wis needs to go way up, I'll try to get some angels for that. End needs to go up too. Also plan to get Permahaste, permainvisibility, permaESP, permainfravision if possible before I go for Elpuri. Then he should be a piece of cake and I'll proceed to Oree.

Yes, obviously. I was up to about 38 in AStr and 20 in LStr and decided to just go artificial.

Edit:
Actually I remember exactly what happened now. My Int was 38 and I wanted to raise it to 40 so that I could turn my equipment into spider silk. I Socm'd all of my equipment into parchment, which was risky. It raised my Int up to 39. Now I just needed one more boost, so I decided to risk socm'ing my limbs into parchment as well. Luckily that brought me to 40 so that I could then harden everything to spider silk.

Ooh, that was a very risky maneuver. Looks like it paid off though. What the hell, killing Sherry before you've killed Elpuri. Nice one

Yeah, I've been spending forever on each level, staying there until the spawn rate is essentially zero. Now I'm kind of afraid I'll run into Izzy though.

Yeah, Izzy's ability to cast multiple spells on a turn makes him deadly regardless of your stats.

Well, that was pretty easy. 3-shotted Elpuri, then tamed the mystic & two giant dark frogs for some more sci-talking. Finished off the orc squadron and then just for the heck of it decided to clean the place up. This resulted in one square containing 13 pages of zombie heads and limbs ALONE, not to mention orc equipment, bones, and more.

Uhh, just came to my mind, why aren't you dualwielding anything? Good job anyways.

Right, now you killed me. Happy?

Amazing work so far (I wish I would be as good with this game.)
Good luck with Oree.

Thanks. In my previous experience, Oree himself is pretty easy, but the mage rooms will be tough. And once I beat Oree I will want to kill Petrus, that will be hard too

Wow!

That character seems pretty powerful and you are not quitting until you get Oree I se...

One question. How do you get so many scrolls of change material to make everything in your equipment octiron/spidersilk and even your limbs?

I have acquired about 4 or 5 scrolls by themselves I think. And then clone, clone, clone! Mirroring too, if I know that I will use 5 at once.

Yes but in my experience, wands of cloning/mirroring are quite rare. I guess that scrolls of charging, which are more common, help a lot but it's still hard for me to find wands of cloning or mirroring. Also the scroll of change material itself is hard to find and is really important, isn't it?

They are all rare, but there are several guaranteed of each. For example, the spider silk carries cloning & SOCM I believe. Then just hoard them instead of using them early. Once you get 4 or 5, even if you only have 1 wand of cloning with 2 charges, you will get 15 just like that (*snap*)

And of course, you could wish for cloning. That seems one of the most useful wishes for me.

Keeping more than five of any given item around however is wasteful, assuming you have something worthwhile to enchant (i.e. that you are going to keep long-term). You can't clone/mirror more than five at a time.

actually you can mirror 6 - 4 on the ground beneath you and one in each hand then zap yourself. You can only clone 5.

Mirrored characters are funny. They vanish in bits.
